Ilmington

I made this a few weeks ago as a birthday present for my dad.  I'd been looking at contour maps and using a scalpel to make 3D models out of flat paper in my project at uni, so decided to continue the theme.  I'd also seen a picture on the internet of how to make a simple pyramid box, I thought it made it special.  The map is the area surrounding out village, all the names of the villages are written on the back.

On a cold day

It snowed today! finally. The volume of snow was a little disappointing, but it looked pretty and the mist made for some cool pictures. Overall, today was enjoyable.

Summer walks

Photos from the hills in the area where I live. I was trying to capture fleeting moments in the natural lighting, which comes through rather well in the top picture I think. The shaft of light is no editing, just a flare of light on the lens, but it makes it very atmospheric and magical.
