FACEPAINT

The product of many hours painstaking facepainting. The new art project is called 'combinations and alliances' and i've decided to go for relationships/combinations between colours- quite simple, but so broad.

On a cold day

It snowed today! finally. The volume of snow was a little disappointing, but it looked pretty and the mist made for some cool pictures. Overall, today was enjoyable.

Girl in the mist - the painting

By far the largest painting I've done yet, but probably one of the quickest! Not sure it's completely finished yet, I think it might need some warmer tones in it, like musty pinks or purple. I used a decorating roller to do most of the sky and the grass, which is why it was so quick. This hasn't really turned out as well as I'd imagined, I think there needs to be more contrast between the background and the white of the sheets..but I can work on it.
