Ilmington

I made this a few weeks ago as a birthday present for my dad.  I'd been looking at contour maps and using a scalpel to make 3D models out of flat paper in my project at uni, so decided to continue the theme.  I'd also seen a picture on the internet of how to make a simple pyramid box, I thought it made it special.  The map is the area surrounding out village, all the names of the villages are written on the back.

Unusual souvenir project

A model of an 'unusual souvenir' for Florence. Based on Victorian  keepsakes from English seaside destinations, this is a locket broach which will eventually have a resin relief map inside and flat road map of the city.
