journey sketchbook

For some reason I can't rotate this, but here's a card I made for my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary. It's done using watercolour and resist, then the butterfly wings are cut out to make them stand out, an idea I've continued from some of my project work below.

new sketchbook - 'Journey'



This is the first two pages of my new project for my art foundation course (which starts in September). The title it 'journey'. Top photo - watercolour. Bottom two - acrylic paint, the butterfly shapes then carefully cut out to make their wings stand up.

Flying







A trip to the butterfly farm in stratford to kick start my new summer project called 'journey'.  I'm leaving it quite open and simple, starting with 'flying' - a mode of transport, so that I have lots of options later on.
