journey sketchbook
pages from my summer sketchbook portraying butterfly chrysalis using different techniques. Top two - stencil and the result using watercolour, resist and ink pen. Below - biro study. Bottom - acrylic study. The start of a butterfly's life/journey (not including caterpillar stage).

For some reason I can't rotate this, but here's a card I made for my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary. It's done using watercolour and resist, then the butterfly wings are cut out to make them stand out, an idea I've continued from some of my project work below.
